Crossing, I,II,III (Series) The river is swift. The river is wide. The river is deep. I must cross the river. Sure, there are fish on this side of the river. But I can see a cut where swift water and the still water meet. Most likely drop off where a large rainbow trout lies in waiting for its meal to be served up by the faster moving water. It’s my third try at crossing here. It’s not going to happen. The river is swift. The river is wide. The river is deep. I’m frustrated but there are other trout.
