From Trail to Palette: Swincinski’s Wilderness Sessions
We are honored to welcome John Swincinski, contemporary painter and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, for an immersive Demo Days event from July 24 through July 27.
Swincinski’s powerful abstract oil paintings are rooted in personal memory, wilderness exploration, and emotional reflection. Over four days, he will open up his creative process in a series of live demonstrations, offering a rare opportunity to watch as he translates memory and natural experience into richly textured, evocative works of art.
What Makes This Special:
Live Painting Sessions: See how John builds his layered, expressive compositions using mark making, surface treatment, and paint handling.
Artist Insight: Learn how his life—growing up in rural Pennsylvania, serving 22 years in the Marine Corps, and exploring the wilds of North America—shapes his visual language.
Dialogue with the Artist: Ask questions and hear firsthand about the role of memory, emotion, and the sublime in his work.
Work Available for Purchase: A curated selection of original paintings will be on view and available for collectors.
Swincinski’s art is more than landscape—it’s a meditation on time, memory, and what it means to witness and remember. Whether you're an art lover, collector, or curious observer, this event offers a chance to connect deeply with an artist whose work bridges personal history, nature, and abstraction.
Admission is free. Drop in daily or join us for the artist reception on July 26th at 4pm.
